Fly Fishing

Jans offers a unique fly-fishing experience with their expert and well-versed guides, high quality gear, local knowledge and access to the area. Their guides provide a variety of fly fishing trips on private waters, as well as lessons and courses. Jans is the only fly-fishing shop in Utah where you can purchase your Utah State Fishing License.

Trap Shooting

Enjoy Blue Sky Ranch’s 3,300 acres of private land that is full of incredible wildlife, breath taking views, and spectacular mountain scenery. Blue Sky offers 5-standing shooting at their world-class sporting clays range. They have 5 different clay pigeon throwers to challenge the more experienced shooters but also offer easier throws so everyone can enjoy!

Guests shoot from a covered pavilion and are provided with all necessary safety equipment, ammunition, guide and safety instruction.

Midway Crater

The Midway Crater is a ‘natural wonder’ that is located at the Homestead Resort in Midway. The Crater is a geothermal spring that stays heated throughout the year by the minerals that fill it, ranging between 90-96 degrees Fahrenheit. The spring is protected by a naturally formed 55-foot tall limestone rock creating shelter from the outdoors. You can swim, snorkel and scuba dive, or just check out this natural wonder. Reservations are required for swimming, snorkeling or scuba diving.

Hiking

There are a number of phenomenal hiking trails all throughout Park City as well as the Uinta Mountain Range. You can hike on the designated trails at Park City and Deer Valley Resort, or you can go a little off of the beaten path and head in the Uinta’s. There is a variety of terrain, there is something for everyone!

Boat and Water Rental

The Jordanelle Reservoir offers a variety of summer activities. You can rent a sports boat for the day and enjoy some wake suffering and water skiing. Of you have the opportunity to rent paddleboards, kayak and canoes. The Joranelle is a gorgeous reservoir surrounded by mountains. It provides barbeque sites and beach hang out spots for those who are looking to stand on land. The Jordanelle is a short 7-minute drive from Park City.
